A story from Future Britains
The Test
Written by Louis Urbanowski · Narrated by Kate Dellow
What if a test could tell you exactly what you were born to do?
On his eighteenth birthday, a young man takes the test that has reshaped Britain. A sample of saliva, a few minutes’ wait, and he’ll finally know his natural talent. Everyone has one. Everyone is encouraged to find out.
He wants a purpose. But once the result arrives, what choice will he have?
Listen to The Test, my short story narrated by Kate Dellow, about belonging, ambition and the danger of letting a system decide who you are.
